Stainless steel springs power regular NewGear headgear.  They impart a progressively larger force the further the strap is extended from the headgear body.  NewGear headgear straps are marked with 12 strap marks (each 2 mm apart).

The following chart shows the average force levels imparted by the NewGear cervical headgear for each strap extension levels.
